Liverpool’s long-running chase for Alexander Isak could finally reach its conclusion in the coming days, with reports suggesting a Premier League-record bid worth around £130 million is imminent. The Reds saw an initial £110m offer rejected earlier this month, but sources now believe Newcastle may be softening their stance following the signing of Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade.
The 25-year-old Swede has made no secret of his desire to join Liverpool, refusing to train with Eddie Howe’s side this summer and publicly accusing the club of breaking promises over his future.
