There have been two significant updates reported on the Alexander Isak to Liverpool transfer saga, including one from Fabrizio Romano.
Isak’s future remains one to watch as he seems really determined to get a move from Newcastle to Liverpool this summer.
According to Romano, the Reds are prepared to try again for the Sweden international if Newcastle show any indication of opening the door to a sale.
At the same time, the Daily Mail are reporting that Isak won’t play in Newcastle’s next two pre-season friendlies over the coming weekend.

Isak is one of the world’s finest strikers and it’s clear he should be playing at the very highest level after great contributions to Newcastle’s recent success.
The 25-year-old was once again lethal in front of goal last season as he helped fire Eddie Howe’s side back into the Champions League.

Most memorably, though, he also scored what proved to be the winning goal against possible future club Liverpool in that famous Carabao Cup final victory.
Isak has surely now earned the chance to leave for even bigger things, as he looks a perfect fit for this Liverpool team.
